IP
ADDRESS CHANGER SUPPORT:
The
IP Address Changer is an extremely easy to use program
with a self-explanatory interface. It is compatible with
any computer that has Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista,
or 7, along with any version of Internet Explorer. Once
installed, changing your ip address is as simple selecting
a country from the dropdown menu.
Two
problems we sometimes see are:
- There
no countries appearing inside the dropdown box:
Please
note that your download page includes an update link
for obtaining the recent ip/country settings. You
must RIGHT-click the link on that page and then "Save
target" to your C://WINNT or C://Windows folders.
The "WINNT" and "Windows" folders
are subdirectories of your C:Drive.
To
confirm that you've placed the ip settings file correctly,
go to your Desktop or START menu and click on "MyComputer",
then doubleclick "C:Drive", then doubleclick
"WINNT". If you've saved the ip/country
settings correctly, you'll see a file called "proxy.xml".
- The
ip changer disappeared from the Internet Explorer toolbar:
If
you have many items on your Internet Explorer toolbar,
some may occassionally get pushed off to the side
or hidden under others. Simply RIGHT-click on the
upper/grey part of your Internet Explorer toolbar.
There will be an option for "proxy". Try
UNchecking and REchecking it a few times. The ip changer
will pop back into place.
